PURPOSE/ACTION REQUESTED
Receive an update on the executive search process to assist the County Board with filling the pending County Manager vacancy.
SUMMARY
Based on recommendations by staff and feedback from the County Board, two vendors were selected to assist the County with the County Manager search process. Dave Unmacht was selected to conduct the first phase of the process which involves gathering information from the County Board and staff to develop, among other things, an overall position profile and criteria for candidate assessment. This information will then be provided to David Drown and Associates (DDA), a firm selected to conduct the remaining search process.
Dave Unmacht will share the management and leadership profile that has emerged based on the feedback he has gathered. He will invite final discussion and feedback from the County Board before completing his work and providing it to DDA. Bart Fischer from DDA will be present to hear the discussion and share an overall recruitment timeline and plans for the next phase of the process.
