PURPOSE/ACTION REQUESTED
Receive an update on the executive search process to assist the County Board with filling the pending County Manager vacancy.
SUMMARY
Based on recommendations by staff and feedback from the County Board, two vendors were selected to assist the County Board with the County Manager search process. Dave Unmacht was selected to conduct the first phase of the process which involves gathering information from the County Board and staff to identify, among other things, information required for the position profile and criteria for candidate assessment. This information will then be provided to David Drown and Associates (DDA), which was selected to conduct the rest of the search process.
Dave Unmacht will lead a discussion and seek feedback on the management and leadership profile that has emerged based on the information he has gathered. After discussion at the committee meeting, DDA will prepare a position profile for review and approval by the Board. Bart Fischer from DDA will be present at the committee meeting to hear the discussion and share an overview or the recruitment timeline and plans for the next phase of the process.
