BACKGROUND
The extended and expanded services addressed in the planned Contract Amendment No. 3 are proposed to add $122,210 to the contract limit as described below by task (Attachment: Kimley-Horn Amendment Letter).
• Additional project management and support services to for agency coordination meetings for engineering design elements led by both the County and City ($31,210).
• Expanded field survey work based on the constrained nature of the project corridor and the need to precisely locate existing utilities, other infrastructure, and future project design features. For example, this task includes support for staking of proposed new project features such as storm sewers to support private utility relocation work ($14,050).
• Coordination with the private and public utilities, including the addition of monthly coordination meetings and consultant support to coordinate details through project bidding, award, and the selected construction contractor’s preconstruction meeting ($29,360).
• Facilitation of constructability workshop and assistance of the Delegated Contract Process documentation required to award a federally funded construction contract ($24,670).
• Mapping for right-of-entry agreements planned for up to 15 parcels. This was not previously scoped ($6,420).
• Provide design support to construction administration staff for site complexities, construction issues and help mitigate delays ($16,500).
• The above-noted tasks comprise parts of the $122,210 addition to services and costs, resulting in a revised contract limit with Amendment No. 3 of $2,299,900.
