BACKGROUND
Facilities Management contracts for licensed electrician services for a variety of electrical maintenance and repair tasks, small projects, and emergency work. Staff estimates that there will be approximately 2,800 hours of electrical maintenance and repair work for the next 12-month period, based upon review of the past 15 years of expenses.
Due to the need to provide timely completion of electrical repairs and have a backup contractor available in the event of emergencies, three electrical contracts are to be awarded. One contract will be for the North and East Regions, one contract will be for the South and West Regions, and the third contract will be for all of the Parks locations. Each contractor will serve as a backup to the other contractor should the need arise.
RECOMMENDATION
recommendation
Staff recommends execution of three contracts for electrical maintenance services for three years commencing December 1, 2026.
