Authorization to amend the existing contract with Governmentjobs.com, Inc. for online applicant tracking software in 2023-2026.
SUMMARY
Governmentjobs.com, Inc. (aka NEOGOV) has been the County’s online applicant tracking software provider since 2006. Over the past 17 years, the Governmentjobs.com, Inc. online applicant tracking software has become the standard for applicant tracking in local government entities within Minnesota. By leveraging a common tool among local government agencies, the County has benefited greatly through collaboration and resource sharing. Additionally, the Governmentjobs.com, Inc. system allows candidates to set up one account which can be used to provide job applications with all other participating jurisdictions in the state. This ease of application is essential to the County’s efforts to attract qualified applicants. The Governmentjobs.com, Inc. system is integrated with our new ERP system and assists in the onboarding process for all new hires. The system has enabled the County to streamline the candidate scoring, assessment, referral, and onboarding process.
The County Board previously approved the contract for services for 2023-2026 with a total four-year cost not to exceed $250,000. We are seeking approval to add background check integration services for 2023-2026 in the amount of $5,029.50 which will fall within the previously approved $250,000 limit.

WHEREAS, Governmentjobs.com, Inc. has been the County’s on-line applicant tracking software provider since 2006; and
WHEREAS, Governmentjobs.com, Inc. has become the standard for applicant tracking in local government entities within Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, The Governmentjobs.com, Inc. system has been instrumental in assisting the County to process its more than 10,000 applicants for employment annually; and
WHEREAS, The County Board previously approved the contract for services for 2023-2026 with a total four-year cost not to exceed $250,000; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends adding background check integration services for 2023-2026 in the amount of $5,029.50 which will fall within the previously approved $250,000 limit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Dakota County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Employee Relations Director to execute a contract amendment with Governmentjobs.com, Inc. to add background check integration to its four year (2023-2026) on-line applicant tracking software contract for a total contract cost not to exceed $250,000, substantially as presented on February 27, 2024, and subject to approval by the County Attorney’s Office as to form.
