PURPOSE/ACTION REQUESTED
Authorize execution of a contract amendment with Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. (HKGI) to provide permitting and stormwater modeling tasks and construction administration services related to the pollinator promenade and daylit stream on the Thompson County Park Phase II Master Plan Improvements project.
SUMMARY
The Thompson County Park Master Plan was approved by the Dakota County Board by Resolution No. 20-037 (January 21, 2020).
HKGI was issued a contract to provide programming and schematic design services by Resolution No. 23-484 (October 24, 2023). These included a range of eight items suggested in the Master Plan, and the contract sum was $476,426. HKGI's contract was then amended by Resolution No. 24-089 (February 27, 2024) to provide continued design services, which included design development and construction documents specifically for the pollinator promenade and daylit stream elements of the Master Plan in the sum of $113,989. A second contract amendment has been issued for a time extension only.
This amendment will provide permitting assistance, stormwater modeling tasks, bidding, and construction administration services for the pollinator promenade and daylit stream in the sum of $84,000. The proposal for additional service request is included in Attachment, Fee Proposal.
