RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department annually replaces approximately one-quarter of the County’s computers to maintain reliable, supported equipment and avoid replacing a large portion of the County’s computer inventory at one time; and

WHEREAS, Dakota County participates in the Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV), which allows the County to purchase goods through contracts established by the State of Minnesota; and

WHEREAS, use of these contracts provides competitively established pricing without requiring the County to conduct a separate competitive procurement process; and

WHEREAS, staff recommends the one-time purchase of replacement computer hardware from Trafera, LLC, pursuant to State Contract No. 286036 in a total amount not to exceed $1,028,538; and

WHEREAS, staff recommends the one-time purchase of replacement squad vehicle laptops from BayCom, Inc., pursuant to State Contract No. 240320, in a total amount not to exceed $31,614; and

WHEREAS, funding for this purchase is available in the 2026 Information Technology budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Dakota County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Deputy County Manager to execute a contract with Trafera, LLC for the one-time purchase of replacement computer hardware pursuant to the applicable State of Minnesota contracts, in a total amount not to exceed $1,028,538, subject to approval by the County Attorney’s Office as to form; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Dakota County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Deputy County Manager to execute a contract with BayCom, Inc. for the one-time purchase of replacement squad vehicle laptops pursuant to the applicable State of Minnesota cont...
